The service, in plain English

What you're actually getting when you book us.

What it is

A complete bar setup brought to your venue: structure, branding, lighting, fridges, ice wells, glassware, garnish station, stock, and the team to run it from welcome drink to last orders.

Who it's for

Dry-hire wedding venues, marquees, gardens, country estates, warehouses, brand activation spaces, festival sites and corporate offices without a built-in bar.

When you need it

Any time your venue can't or won't run a bar themselves, weddings at converted barns, milestone birthdays at home, brand launches in raw space, summer parties in marquees, conferences in atrium spaces.

Why it matters

A purpose-built mobile bar isn't a trestle table with bottles on it. It's a focal point. Lighting, finish and serve quality directly drive how long guests stay, how much they drink and how memorable the night feels.

The cost of getting this wrong

Why DIY bars quietly ruin events you paid thousands for.

We get rescue calls every summer from couples and event planners whose 'cheaper' bar option arrived late, missed half the kit, or fell apart at 9pm. Mobile bar hire is one of the few decisions where saving £400 can cost you the entire night.

What happens if you ignore it

  • Stock runs out at the worst possible moment, usually 45 minutes after speeches.
  • Cheap bars sag, lean and lighting fails on damp grass, exactly when photos are happening.
  • Warm beer and lukewarm wine: no proper refrigeration, no ice plan.
  • Spillage, breakage and damage your venue charges back to you.
  • Guests leave early because the bar is slow, ugly, or empty.

Common mistakes we fix

  • Underestimating ice, most events need 8–12kg per 50 guests, not 4kg.
  • Forgetting still water, soft drinks and a low/no-alcohol option.
  • No drinks reception plan: guests bottleneck at the bar in the first 20 minutes.
  • Renting a bar without checking access (steps, lifts, doorway widths).
  • Booking a bar but no licensed bartender, which voids most venue policies.

Our process

A repeatable system, refined over 1,600 events.

  1. 01
    Step 1

    Site walk-through

We confirm access, power, water, footprint and licensing constraints, in person or by video call.

  2. 02
    Step 2

    Bar & menu design

Choose your bar style (rustic, mirrored, illuminated, branded) and lock the serve list with our head mixologist.

  3. 03
    Step 3

    Logistics & stock

Delivery slot booked, stock ordered, licences filed (if needed), glassware counted, ice scheduled.

  4. 04
    Step 4

    Build & service

Crew arrives 2–3 hours early. Bar built, lit, stocked and pressure-tested before your first guest arrives.

  5. 05
    Step 5

    Strike & clear

Pack-down to venue standard, waste removed, glassware returned. Your venue's deposit stays in your pocket.

The detail

Everything underneath the surface.

Mobile bars are an engineering job as much as a hospitality one, power, footprint, drainage, refrigeration and weather all matter. Here is the detail underneath the photo.

Bar styles in our fleet

We maintain twelve mobile bar units, each suited to a different venue mood and guest count.

  • Illuminated LED bar, modern launches, club nights, brand activations.
  • Mirrored Art Deco bar, black-tie weddings, gala dinners.
  • Rustic timber bar, barns, country weddings, garden parties.
  • Copper-clad bar, boutique weddings and signature cocktail nights.
  • Branded skin system, printed graphics for corporate hire.
  • Island bars, 360° access for receptions over 200 guests.

Power, water, drainage

Most mobile bars need a single 13A socket within 10m for fridges and lighting. Larger setups draw 2–3 sockets. Where venues have no power we run silent generators. Waste water is captured on-site and removed.

Footprint and access

Smallest bar, 1.2m × 0.6m. Largest island, 4m × 4m. We need 80cm clear access for delivery; bigger units come in modules. We always do a site check before quoting on venues we haven't worked before.

Stock packages and pricing

Three standard stock tiers (House, Premium, Signature) plus a fully bespoke option for branded launches. All packages include glassware, garnish, ice, soft drinks, still and sparkling water. Unopened stock is bought back at cost, you don't pay for what your guests don't drink.

Residential vs commercial setups

Residential mobile bars (gardens, marquees, home parties) emphasise quiet refrigeration, neat cabling and discreet finish. Commercial mobile bars (brand events, corporate functions, launches) prioritise branding, throughput, audit-grade stock control and KPI reporting.

Service area

We deliver mobile bars across Liverpool, Manchester, Cheshire, the Wirral, Chester, Preston, Alderley Edge, Wilmslow, Altrincham and the wider North West with no travel surcharge inside 40 miles. We regularly cover North Wales, the Lake District and Yorkshire for destination weddings and brand tours.

How much does mobile bar hire cost?

+

Entry-level mobile bar packages (bar, two bartenders, four-hour service, glassware and ice, guests buy drinks) start from £790. Fully-stocked open-bar packages for weddings of 80 guests typically run £2,800–£4,200 depending on serve list and tier.

Do I need a licence for a private event?

+

Drinks gifted to private guests at a private event don't require a licence. If you're selling drinks (cash bar) you need a Temporary Event Notice. We file TENs on your behalf at no extra cost.

What's included in a fully-stocked package?

+

Bar structure, lighting, fridges, ice wells, glassware, all stock (spirits, mixers, beers, wines, softs, water), garnish, two or more bartenders, licensing, delivery, build and pack-down. The only thing you supply is the venue.

How much space does a mobile bar need?

+

Our smallest unit fits a 1.2m × 0.6m footprint. A standard 6m wedding bar with two bartenders needs about 4m × 1.5m of service space and 1m of behind-bar working depth.

Can the bar be branded for our company?

+

Yes, branded fascia panels and printed bar skins are available across our fleet. Lead time for custom branding is 14 working days.

Do you cover dry-hire wedding venues?

+

Dry-hire venues are our specialism. We've worked virtually every major dry-hire venue across Cheshire, Lancashire and Merseyside, Thornton Manor, Inglewood, Combermere Abbey, The Wedding House and dozens more.

What happens to unopened stock?

+

Sealed, unopened bottles are bought back at cost. You only pay for what's been served. Itemised pour reports are sent to corporate clients within 48 hours of the event.

How long does it take to set up?

+

A standard mobile bar setup takes 90–180 minutes including build, stock-up, glassware count and pressure test. We always plan to be ready 60 minutes before the first guest arrives.

Can you handle emergency or last-minute bookings?

+

Yes, we hold contingency slots most weekends. For corporate enquiries inside seven days we can usually mobilise a bar plus two bartenders within Liverpool and Manchester centres.

Do you offer dry-hire (bar only, no staff)?

+

Yes, on a limited basis and only to licensed venues or experienced event teams. Most clients find the full-service option works out cheaper once stock waste and breakages are factored in.
